چکیده
Intel introduced BIS-6630; fan-less ATOM processor based computing system with an unparalleled power-performance efficiency at 12W, in order to compete against mobile platforms; mainly ARM based computing systems. BIS-6630 falls in between powerful desktop PC's and low power mobile processors. In this research work we evaluate the metrics: power and performance for BIS-6630, Intel X86 based PC and a mobile platform (if time permits) running on same version of Ubuntu operating system, performing the same task. We use real-time processor intensive applications useful for humans, to compare how this system fares against its counterparts. Introduction to BIS 6630 Intel Embedded Alliance, introduces the BIS6630 (power-performance efficient 12W) compact embedded PC developed around the most powerful Intel Atom N2800 (1.83 GHz) / D2700 (2.13 GHz) with unparalleled power-performance efficiency at 12W. The BIS-6630 Cedar Trail embedded system offers continual connectivity with six USBs, six COM ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, one SIM socket for 3G/4G connectivity, WiFi option via two Mini-PCIe slots, 1 VGA, 1 DVI-D at up to 1920 x 1080, internal 18-bit LVDS at up to 1366 x 768 resolution, HD Audio, 2.5" SATA drive bay and mSATA option, 12VDC power input, and support for Windows 7 Embedded, Windows 7, Meego, and future Linux systems. The BIS-6630's fan-less, rich with I/Os, easy access drive bay design make it perfect for digital signage, building automation, NVR, point-of-sales, and other embedded and industrial applications [3]. Graphic Processing Unit And Video Intel Atom N2000 series supports Direct 9 compliant pixel shader V 3.0 and OGL 3.0, at 640MHz core graphics frequency and 200MHz render clock frequency. Also supports HDCP 1.3 and PAVP*1.1c for Blu-ray playback while HDCP* is needed for high definition playback in Intel Atom processor N2000 series. Intel Atom N2000 series supports full MPEG2 (VLD/iDCT/MC0, WMV, fast video composing, hardware decode/acceleration for MPEG4 part 10 (AVC/H.264) and 1080i60, 1080@24 up to 20 Mps. (PAVP is a collection of hardware based security mechanisms designed to provide a secure a path for content a media player application to the graphics hardware. HDCP is developed by INTEL to protect digital entertainment content across DVI interface)

Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization of 2,5-bis[(4-hexyloxyphenyl)oxycarbonyl]styrene
A side-on liquid crystalline monomer, 2,5-bis[(4-hexyloxyphenyl)oxycarbonyl]styrene) (HPCS), was successfully polymerized via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). The polymerization was catalyzed by CuBr/PMDETA in chlorobenzene at 90°C with (1-bromoethyl)benzene as the initiator. The polymers have narrow MWD. It is the second example of mesogen-jacketed liquid crystalline polymer (MJLCP...

متن کاملEfficient molecular dynamics simulations with many-body potentials on graphics processing units
Graphics processing units have been extensively used to accelerate classical molecular dynamics simulations. However, there is much less progress on the acceleration of force evaluations for many-body potentials compared to pairwise ones. In the conventional force evaluation algorithm for many-body potentials, the force, virial stress, and heat current for a given atom are accumulated within di...
متن کاملModeling and optimizing the performance of solid state drives ( SSDs ) using Intel ®
In this paper, a team of engineers from the Intel Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group presents an approach to explore improving the architecture of solid-state drives (SSDs). This explorative approach is based on models captured using Intel® CoFluentTM Studio. The team’s goal was to identify how best to use a model-based approach to optimize the performance and cost of next generation Intel® So...
